The New Year is here, and what better way to celebrate than by joining us for our first happy hour event of the year! Drop by the patio at White Owl Social Club, this Thursday 6pm-8pm, to chat with your fellow P:NW members. Join Portland: Neighbors Welcome, Strongtowns PDX and University of Oregon’s School of Architecture and Environment for a kickoff party celebrating a “single-stair” design competition.
The competition’s Opening Night Lecture will feature Michael Eliason. Michael is the founder and principal of Larch Lab. He is a researcher, writer, urbanist, and architect based in Seattle. He is a licensed architect, holds a B.Arch from Virginia Tech, and has been an advocate and consultant for Passivhaus buildings for over a decade. He is also the author of ‘Building For People’ (Island Press 2024).

Come join us at Migration Brewing on Williams this Thursday, April 3rd from 6-8pm. We'll be talking about housing, exciting legislature, and what's going in our gardens this year.

Portland: Neighbors Welcome is partnering with Welcome Home Coalition and 1000 Friends of Oregon to host a screening of the Humans for Housing documentary No Place to Grow Old.
No Place To Grow Old is an intimate portrait of the rising crisis of senior homelessness in Portland, Oregon. The film explores the systemic challenges and deeply personal stories of a generation aging into homelessness.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on homelessness.
